MATERIALS LIST:
1 x stretched canvas  -  16 x 20 inches

Oil paints (Winsor & Newton if possible:

Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Alizarin Crimson, Titanium White, Ivory Black, Naples Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Sap Green

Other Brands:

Winton - Soft mixing white,  Grumbacher - Transparent Red Oxide,  Old Holland - Red Umber

Brushes:

Escoda Prado Sintetico series 3160 size 8 (cat's tongue) or a small pointed brush for drawing the portrait.

Neef Indian Sable Filbert Brush - series 460 sizes 8, 10 and 12

OR Art Basics series 877KF - sizes 8, 10 and 12

NOTE: These are the brushes I use. You might have your own favourites.

Miscellaneous:

*Paper owels, *Easel, *Drop sheet, *Willow charcoal,            *Odourless solvent, *Mixing palette knife

*Large palette (eg: white painted MDF) approx 18 x 24 inches)

*Photographs for portrait (make sure these have excellent clarity, a good play of light and dark and are large enough to work from) If you are using computer print-out use photo quality paper not plain.
